![]() I'm guessing we'll never get an Earl Hebner? ![]() Paul Bearer from this era is an absolute MUST! I really hope they do it, I know it will need a new head scan and that ginger-is hair he had.he was bigger then too than his previous figure releases but I'm hoping there is a body out there they could use if they cant afford to make a new one? Bearer was crucial to the whole thing and was absolute gold around this time. Kane we have had released, I dont personally have it and Im holding out in hope that they FINALLY do a new scan and boots etc and NAIL debut Kane in the ultimate line, would be cool if he came with the door he ripped off from the cell. I know people want a 1998 Taker but im not sure exactly what the difference would be if they did this one from 1997? We really need a taker from this match. I think I'm right in saying we have the elite Shawn, it's been released twice with the European belt - I dont think its specifically from this match? the hair isn't the same anyway so I'm not sure if its an inaccurate figure or whether he wore the same attire more than once.either way I think we can check it off, right? I'm big on wanting to complete figure moments - famous survivor series teams, iconic matches etc and this one has so much. With all the Taker stuff going on this weekend, it just made me think about Mattel figures and what we do and dont have from this match, which surely has to go down as one of the most historic matches ever? It had everything, Shawn was amazing, Taker just phenomenal, HHH interference, blood, guts and of course, the debut of Kane. 51.One of my favourite matches of all time, the first and in my opinion best Hell in a Cell match.Drew McIntyre to retain the WWE Championship Hell in a Cell, June 20, 2021, Tampa, Florida Bayley to retain the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship Rey Mysterio to retain the WWE Universal Championship Drew McIntyre to win the WWE Championship Bayley to win the WWE SmackDown Women’s Championship Jey Uso in an “I Quit” Match to retain the WWE Universal Championship “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt to retain the WWE Universal Championship Sasha Banks to retain the WWE Raw Women’s Championship Braun Strowman ended in a no contest Reigns retained the WWE Universal Championship The New Day (Big E and Xavier Woods) to win the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championship Sasha Banks to win the WWE Raw Women’s Championship Seth Rollins to retain the WWE Universal Championship Rusev to retain the WWE United States Championship WrestleMania 32, April 3, 2016, Arlington, Texas Daniel Bryan to win the vacant WWE Championship John Cena and CM Punk to win the WWE Championship Randy Orton to retain the World Heavyweight Championship Alberto Del Rio, CM Punk, Dolph Ziggler and Jack Swagger to retain the WWE Championship The Undertaker to retain the World Heavyweight Championship D-Generation X (Triple H and Shawn Michaels) def.CM Punk to win the World Heavyweight Championship Triple H to retain the World Heavyweight Championship Kevin Nash to retain the World Heavyweight Championship The Undertaker to retain the WWE Championship The Undertaker, Triple H, Stone Cold Steve Austin, Rikishi and The Rock to retain the WWF Championship Cactus Jack to retain the WWF Championship WrestleMania XV, March 28, 1999, Philadelphia King of the Ring, June 28, 1998, Pittsburgh The Undertaker and Stone Cold Steve Austin def.WWE Hell in a Cell matches: Complete history Want to take a walk down memory lane to see who participated in and won each one? We’ve got the complete history of WWE Hell in a Cell matches right here, so just read on. ![]() But there’s something about the visual of the cell itself and the way it reinforces the idea that it can shorten the careers of people who enter it that makes it undeniable, even after 50+ matches. Like most special matches, Hell in a Cell has had its share of iconic moments (Mick Foley being thrown off the cage by Undertaker is about as legendary as it gets) and some stinkers as well (no one is nominating Ryback for the Hell in a Cell hall of fame, and he was once in two of these in a row). Who knew then it would still be thrilling spectators 25 years later? ![]() Yet wrestling fans have fallen in love with this particular gimmick match, which made its debut in 1997 when the biggest wrestling promotion in the world was still called WWF. Just saying the name of the match makes it sound like something bad is about to go down. ![]()
